A similar pattern emerges in our sole Direct3D Gaming test, Expendable, as the weak FPU of the K6-2/3 holds that family back and as the Athlon's sheer power propels it to the top of the chart. The difference between the Celeron and the Pentium II/III is somewhat exaggerated by the benchmark since Expendable is extremely L2 cache (size) dependent, but other than that the standings are pretty much the same.
